Welcome to the Event Hub for The Parrot Society of Australia!

We are committed to education and progress in aviculture. We host a wide range of events for bird keepers, breeders, and enthusiasts of all levels. Our program supports learning, responsible care, and stronger bird keeping communities.

Our calendar includes - 

  • Bi-Monthly meetings with guest speakers covering a range of subjects from keeping, husbandry, health and wellbeing and conservation
  • Annual Bird Sale - Promoting high standards in aviculture and inspiring the next generation of bird enthusiasts.
  • Bi Annual International Parrot Conference. Bringing together delegates from around the world to share avicultural knowledge, conservation outcomes, breeding expertise, and companion parrot care practices.

  • North Brisbane Bird Sale 2026

    The North Brisbane Bird Sale returns to the Moreton Bay Region on Saturday 18 April 2026.

    Location: Caboolture Showgrounds. 
    180 Beerwah Road, Caboolture QLD

    All birds entering the event will be inspected by a qualified avian veterinarian. Any birds that appear to be sick/overly distressed will be turned away. All sellers must follow the Avian Code of Practice - available here. This includes display cage standards. 

    Birds can be tabled between 7am and 8.30am. Please DO NOT arrive prior to 7am. Queue at the rear of the sale area.

    Everyone should be aware of licensing laws for native parrots in Queensland. You may check our updated list of native bird licensing requirements here.

    Welcome to the International Parrots 2026 registration area!

    Parrots26 is shaping up to be an incredible mixture of breeders, veterinarians, conservationists and companion parrot specialists. 

    Kicking off on Friday with an optional Aviary Tour where delegates will get to see real aviculture in real backyards! 

    Friday night will see a relaxed social welcome evening with light nibbles and some special guests. 

    Saturday and Sunday are filled with an array of exceptional speakers covering species specific husbandry, common medical ailments, species conservation, bird training and so much more. 

    Saturday night is our coveted Parrot Trust of Australia Conservation Dinner and auction. Featuring an amazing guest speaker and even more amazing MC with some great prizes up for grabs - all for an amazing cause. 

    On Monday, we wrap up the conference with our Step-Up workshop dedicated solely to those companion parrot owners.
