The Parrot Society of Australia Inc. invites you to attend the 5th international ‘Parrots' convention to be held July 4th – 7th 2008 in sunny Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland, Australia.

‘Parrots' conventions are held every two years with the recurring theme being ‘Raising the Perch in Avicultural Education' – a goal we supersede with every convention.

Parrots 2008 will offer delegates an array of valuable multi-media presentations, workshops and innovative avian management practices from an experienced range of local and international presenters that appeal to every parrot enthusiast. A conservation fundraising dinner will be the highlight of the convention along with aviary tours of the region.

With a population of 1.8 million, your host city of Brisbane is the third largest Australian state capital and home to the Parrot Society of Australia Inc. Its ‘beautiful one day, perfect the next' sub-tropical climate provides an ideal location for an international parrot convention during an Australian winter. Whilst attending Parrots 2008, please take advantage of Brisbane's stunning environs and close proximity to the Pacific coastline or nearby tourist attractions to extend your stay in Queensland.

Whether you are a novice or experienced bird keeper, breeder or companion parrot owner, backyard hobbyist, professional zookeeper or veterinarian, Parrots 2008 is the convention for you!

We look forward to seeing you in Brisbane for Australia's premier avicultural convention that will surpass any other and exceed your expectations – Parrots 2008.
