Another first for Parrots 2008 and Australian avicultural conventions is the Fledglings Junior Workshop. Designed specifically for students aged 9 – 16 years, this unique workshop supports the Parrot Society of Australia's commitment to engaging young people in aviculture. Presented by our publication team, and , it promises to be a fun learning experience for any young aviculturist interested in keeping parrots and learning practical knowledge.

The morning will be split into two presentations:

  • Session One will focus on bird ownership basics and best practice techniques to ensure that each participant is exposed to sound advice to progress their hobby.
  • Session Two is a hands-on practical training workshop with live parrots to demonstrate the participant's knowledge of positive reinforcement training techniques.
Morning Tea is provided and each junior delegate receives a complimentary Parrots 2008 sample bag full of personal resources and gifts for their birds.
